Archmandrite Alexander was consecrated to the Holy Episcopate in the Cathedral of the Elevation of the Holy Cross in Geneva on Sunday 20th January. The Bishops serving were His Eminence Archbishop Mark of Berlin and Germany, His Eminence Archbishop Agapit of Stuttgart, His Grace Bishop Irenei of Richmond and Western Europe and His Grace Bishop Theodosii of Seattle. Large crowds of the faithful gathered for this momentous day in the life of the Western European Diocese. Bishop Alexander will be assisting Bishop Irenei in the Western European Diocese which stretches over a very large geographical area of Switzerland, France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Italy.
