ВОСКРЕСЕНЬЕ 16 / 29 МАЯ 2023 г., БРЮССЕЛЬ: В неделю Свв. Отцов I Вселенского Собора Преосвященнейший епископ Лондонский и Западно-Европейский Ириней совершил архипастырский визит в приход св. праведного Иова Многострадального, храм-памятник русского Зарубежья во имя Царя-мученика Николая, Святых Царственных мучеников и Всех новомучеников ХХ века в Брюсселе, Бельгия.
По прибытии в субботу утром владыка встретился с членами приходской ассоциации и клириками храма-памятника, в течение нескольких часов обсуждая жизнь прихода, события в Бельгии и мире, миссию прихода среди многонациональной общины православных верующих в бельгийской столице и ее будущие задачи. Вечером владыка Ириней возглавил Всенощное бдение, где многие верующие приступили к помазанию освященным елеем намедни праздника святых отцов I Вселенского Собора. После богослужения Правящий Архиерей отужинал с членами Приходского Совета, с представителями приходской молодежи, хора, сестричества, франкоязычной общины и матушек.
В воскресенье утром епископ Ириней был встречен у входа в храм и возглавил Божественную литургию, в сослужении протоиерея Леонида Грилихеса и иерея Василия Орехова. Особенно красиво пел хор Храма-памятника, известный на всю округу своим прекрасным репертуаром и бережным сохранением музыкальных традиций Зарубежной Церкви.
На Малом входе епископ Ириней в честь многолетнего служения Матери-Церкви вручил протоиерею Леониду наперстный крест с украшениями, на что духовенство и все верные радостно возгласили «Аксиос!» Великое множество верующих приобщилось Святых Христовых Тайн. Его Преосвященство произнес проповедь о значении Святых Отцов Первого Вселенского Собора в жизни Церкви. «Бог всегда воздвигает верных, благочестивых и послушных служителей во все века, — сказал владыка, — чтобы ясно провозглашать слово Божественной Истины. И это так же верно сегодня, как и в те далекие времена: каким бы мрачным временами ни казался мир, какими бы сильными ни казались противоборствующие силы, Бог никогда не оставит Своих чад, и всегда найдутся благочестивые и преданные люди, которых Он будут использовать как Своих глашатаев, чтобы возвещать истину каждому поколению».
После окончания богослужения и слов приветствия архиерея и приходского духовенства верующие, пользуясь необычайно теплым и солнечным днем в бельгийской столице, собрались вместе с Архипастырем в саду храма для приходской трапезы и многочасового общения. Епископ Ириней выразил радость, что большая группа певцов из прихода планирует посетить общеевропейскую летнюю церковно-музыкальную школу, а также договорился с молодежью прихода, что в свой следующий приезд хотел бы организовать особое мероприятие для молодежи.
Проведя полдня с верующими, епископ Ириней отбыл из Брюсселя, чтобы вернуться в Англию.

DIMANCHE 15 / 28 MAI 2023, BRUXELLES : Le week-end du dimanche des pères du premier Concile Œcuménique, Son Excellence l’évêque Irénée de Londres et d’Europe occidentale a effectué une visite archipastorale à la paroisse de S. Job, l’Église commémorative du tsar-martyr Saint-Nicolas, des saints martyrs royaux et de tous les martyrs de la diaspora impériale à Bruxelles, Belgique.
Dès son arrivée le samedi matin, l’évêque a rencontré les membres de l’association paroissiale et du clergé de l’église, discutant pendant plusieurs heures de la vie de la paroisse, des événements en Belgique et dans le monde, de la mission de la paroisse auprès de la communauté multinationale des fidèles orthodoxes de la capitale belge et sa future mission. La soirée, les vigiles étaient dirigées par Vladyka Irénée, et de nombreux fidèles se sont présentés pour être oints d’huile consacrée en l’honneur des Saints Pères du premier concile. Après le service divin, l’évêque dirigeant a dîné avec des membres du conseil paroissial, y compris des représentants de la jeunesse, de la chorale, de la sestrichestvo, de la communauté francophone et des matushki.
Dimanche matin, Mgr Irénée a été accueilli aux portes de l’église et a dirigé la Divine Liturgie, co-servie par l’archiprêtre Léonide Grilikhès et le prêtre Vassili Orékhoff. Le chœur a chanté avec une beauté particulière, étant connu dans toute la région pour son merveilleux répertoire et sa préservation attentive des traditions musicales de l’Église à l’étranger.
Lors de la petite entrée de la Liturgie, Mgr Irénée a remis la Croix décorée à l’archiprêtre Léonide, en l’honneur de ses nombreuses années de service, au cours desquelles le clergé et tous les fidèles ont joyeusement proclamé «Axios!». Une grande multitude de fidèles ont reçu du Divins Mystères du Christ et l’évêque a prononcé une homélie sur la place des Saints Pères du premier concile Œcuménique dans la vie de l’Église. « Dieu suscite toujours des serviteurs fidèles, pieux et obéissants à chaque époque, — a déclaré Vladyka, — pour dire clairement la parole de sa vérité. Et c’est aussi vrai aujourd’hui qu dans l’histoire : aussi sombre que le monde puisse parfois sembler, aussi puissantes que puissent paraître les puissances opposées, Dieu n’abandonne jamais ses enfants, et il y aura toujours des individus de piété et de dévotion qu’il utiliseront comme ses porte-parole, pour dire la vérité à chaque génération. »
Après la conclusion des services divins et les salutations de l’évêque et du clergé paroissial, les fidèles se sont réunis avec leur vladyka dans le jardin de l’église, profitant d’une journée exceptionnellement chaude et ensoleillée dans la capitale belge, pour un repas paroissial et une conversation de plusieurs heures. L’évêque Irénée a exprimé sa joie qu’un grand groupe de chanteurs de la paroisse envisage de participer à la première école de musique paneuropéenne, et a également convenu avec les jeunes de la paroisse que lors de sa prochaine visite, il aimerait organiser un événement pour la jeunesse.
Après avoir passé l’après-midi avec les fidèles, Mgr Irénée a quitté Bruxelles pour retourner en Angleterre.

SUNDAY 15 / 28 MAY 2023, BRUSSELS: On the weekend of the Sunday of the Fathers of the First Ecumenical Council, His Grace Bishop Irenei of London and Western Europe made an archpastoral visitation to the Parish of St Job the Long-Suffering, the Memorial Church of the Tsar-Martyr St Nicholas, the Holy Royal Martyrs and All the Martyrs of the Imperial Diaspora in Brussels, Belgium.
Upon his arrival on Saturday morning, the Bishop met with members of the Parish Association and clergy of the Memorial Church, discussing for several hours the life of the parish, events in Belgium and the wider world, the mission of the parish to the multi-national community of Orthodox faithful in the Belgian capital, and its future mission. In the evening, the All-Night Vigil was headed by Vladyka Irenei, and many faithful came forward to be anointed with consecrated oil in honour of the Holy Fathers of the first council. After the Divine Service, the Ruling Bishop had dinner with members of the Parish Council, including representatives of the parish youth, choir, sisterhood, francophone community, and matushki.
On Sunday morning, Bishop Irenei was greeted at the doors of the temple and headed the Divine Liturgy, co-served by Archpriest Léonide Grilikhès and Priest Vassili Orékhoff. The choir of the Memorial Church sang with especial beauty, being known throughout the region for its wonderful repertoire and attentive preservation of the musical traditions of the Church Abroad.
At the Little Entrance of the Liturgy, Bishop Irenei bestowed the Jewelled Cross upon Archpriest Léonide, in honour of his many years of service, upon which the clergy and all the faithful joyfully proclaimed ‘Axios!’ A great multitude of faithful received of the Divine Mysteries of Christ, and His Grace delivered a sermon on the place of the Holy Fathers of the First Ecumenical Council in the life of the Church. ‘God always raises up faithful, pious and obedient servants in every age,’ said Vladyka, ‘to speak clearly the word of His truth. And this is as true today as it was in that early century: however dark the world may at times seem, however strong opposing powers might appear to be, God never abandons His children, and there will always be individuals of piety and devotion that He will use as His mouthpieces, to speak the truth into every generation.’
Following the conclusion of the Divine Services and words of greeting from the Bishop and the parish clergy, the faithful gathered together with their Vladyka in the garden of the church, benefitting from an unusually warm and sunny day in the Belgian capital, for a parish meal and conversation lasting many hours. Bishop Irenei expressed his happiness that a large group of singers from the parish are planning to attend the first pan-European summer Church music school, and also agreed with the youth of the parish that on his next visit he would like to organise an event for the youth.
After spending the afternoon with the faithful, Bishop Irenei departed Brussels to return to England.
