MONDAY, 12 / 25 OCTOBER 2021: The first Divine Liturgy of the Autumn semester was celebrated in the Diocese’s St Nicholas Chaplaincy at the University of Fribourg in Switzerland. Reports the chaplaincy: ‘After this period of social distancing due to the pandemic, it was possible to gather together more of us and to pray together in a warm atmosphere. In addition to our own students, several French- and German-speaking students from the Faculty of Theology, who are interested in the introductory course in Orthodox theology, attended an Orthodox liturgy for the first time, discovering the liturgical beauty of our tradition. By mixing several languages (Slavonic, Greek, Romanian, French, German) and by the diversity of liturgical chants, the participants were welcomed in the cultural expression of their own Orthodox backgrounds. During his sermon, Father Ioan invited us to embrace the love felt during the Liturgy and to make it fruitful in all moments of our life. The Liturgy was followed by a period of fellowship and conversation.’

ПОНЕДЕЛЬНИК, 25/12 ОКТЯБРЯ 2021: Первая Божественная литургия осеннего семестра была отслужена в Свято-Николаевском капеллане епархии Фрибургского университета в Швейцарии. Капеллан сообщает: «После этого периода социального дистанцирования из-за пандемии мы смогли собрать больше людей и вместе помолиться в теплой атмосфере. Помимо наших собственных студентов, несколько франко- и немецкоязычных студентов богословского факультета, которых интересует вводный курс православного богословия, впервые посетили православную литургию, открыв для себя литургическую красоту нашей традиции. Благодаря смешению нескольких языков (славянский, греческий, румынский, французский, немецкий) и разнообразию литургических песнопений участники приветствовали культурное выражение своего православного происхождения. Во время своей проповеди отец Иоанн призвал нас принять любовь, которую мы испытывали во время литургии, и сделать ее плодотворной во все моменты нашей жизни. После литургии последовал период общения и бесед ».

LE 12/ 25 OCTOBRE 2021: La première Divine Liturgie du semestre d’automne a été célébrée à l’Aumônerie Saint-Nicolas de l’Université de Fribourg en Suisse. Rapporte l’aumônerie : «Après cette période de distanciation sociale due à la pandémie, il a été possible de nous retrouver en plus grand nombre et de prier ensemble dans une ambiance chaleureuse. Intéressés par le cours d’introduction dans la théologie orthodoxe, plusieurs étudiant-e-s, francophones et germanophones, de la Faculté de théologie ont assisté pour la première fois à une liturgie orthodoxe en découvrant la beauté liturgique de notre tradition. Par le mélange de plusieurs langues (slavon, grec, roumain, français, allemand) et par la diversité des chants liturgiques, les participants ont été accueillis dans leur propre expression culturelle orthodoxe. Lors de son sermon, le Père Ioan nous a invité d’accueillir l’amour ressenti pendant la liturgie et de le fructifier dans tous les moments de notre vie. La liturgie a été suivi d’un moment convivial lors d’un verre d’amitié.»
