Our programme of spiritual talks with our Diocesan Hierarch, Bishop Irenei of London and Western Europe, will continue this week with our next scheduled evening at 7.00 p.m. on Wednesday,19th February 2020 in the Diocesan Cathedral in London, 57 Harvard Road, Chiswick, London W4 4ED. As before, the talk will be held in the Cathedral’s Lower Church.
The talk is open to all and will comprise twenty or thirty minutes of words from His Grace on the theme “Preparing to fight the passions: entering into the spiritual arena” — a topic central to the living-out of our lives in Christ and becoming more deeply formed in the living tradition of the Church.
Following the Bishop’s opening words, questions will be welcomed from all present. In general this question-and-answer period forms the heart of the these discussion evenings, with questions welcomed on all issues of Orthodox life, not simply those directly connected to the theme of the day.
The principal language of these discussions is English, though questions are welcomed also in Russian.
