11 APRIL 2022: The primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry of Kyiv and All Ukraine, has written to His Grace Bishop Irenei of London and Western Europe to express his gratitude for the financial and practical assistance received from the Diocese of Great Britain and Western Europe, sent order to aid the Ukrainian Orthodox Church in responding to the humanitarian crisis caused by the war in Ukraine.
‘From the heart I thank You for the financial help which You and the faithful of the Diocese of London and Western Europe have provided to our Ukrainian people, who are at present going through hard times on account of the terrible war.
‘The aid which You have sent is an expression of humanity, compassion, Christian love and true friendship; for ‘a faithful friend is beyond price, and no amount can balance his worth’ (Sirach 6.14, 15). God save You, dear Vladyka, that in these difficult days You and Your flock stand wholly together with the people of Ukraine. May the Lord repay an hundredfold all who offer us their hand of help according to their generosity and ability.’
The extensive efforts of the Diocese of Great Britain and Western Europe to aid those suffering in Ukraine, as well as refugees from the conflict arriving in the many countries of our territory, continue in earnest. Those wishing to do so may continue to donate financially on-line to our appeal, the receipts of which are transferred directly to the humanitarian relief fund of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.

11 АПРЕЛЯ 2022 г.: Предстоятель Украинской Православной Церкви, Блаженнейший Митрополит Киевский и всея Украины Онуфрий в письме Преосвященству епископу Лондонскому и Западно-Европейскому Иринею выразил благодарность за финансовую и практическую помощь, полученную от Великобританской и Западно-Европейской епархии, чтобы помочь Украинской Православной Церкви справиться с гуманитарным кризисом, вызванным войной на Украине.
« Сердечно благодарю Вас за финансовую помощь, оказанную Вами и верующими Лондонской и Западно-Европейской епархии нашему украинскому народу, который переживает сегодня непростые времена страшной войны.
« Ваша помощь, которую Вы предоставляете нам, есть выражением человечности, милосердия, христианской любви как дружбы искренней, ведь друга верного ничем невозможно заменить, и нет предела доброте его (Сир. 6:14-15). Спаси Вас, Господи, дорогой Владыка, что в эти тяжелые дни Вы и Ваша паства всесторонне вместе с украинским народом. Пусть Господь воздаст сторицею всем, кто подает нам от своих щедрот и возможностей руку помощи. »
Активные усилия епархии по оказанию помощи страдающим на Украине, а также беженцам от конфликта, прибывающим во многие страны нашей территории, продолжаются не на шутку. Желающие могут продолжать делать финансовые пожертвования в режиме онлайн, поступления от которых перечисляются непосредственно в фонд гуманитарной помощи Украинской Православной Церкви.
