With the blessing of His Grace Bishop Irenei of London and Western Europe and in accordance with the longstanding tradition of the Church Abroad, His Grace Bishop Alexander of Vevey, Vicar of the Diocese, led the Sacrament of Unction in two parishes in the German-speaking region of the Swiss Confederation: in the Parish of St Nicholas in Basel, and the Parish of the Protection of the Mother of God (Pokrov) in Zurich.
On Monday, 13 / 26 March, Vladyka Alexander arrived at St Nicholas Parish in Basel, where, in concelebration with Priest Pavel Golinsky, he performed the rite of Holy Unction for local believers. The following Saturday, 20 March / 2 April, His Grace was co-served by the rector of the Zurich parish, Archpriest Peter Sturm, and Priest Vladimir Svystun. Many believers from Zurich and its environs arrived to take part in the Sacrament, a significant number of whom were refugees from Ukraine, newly settled in the vicinity of the largest city in Switzerland.
After the divine services in two parishes, the Vicar of the Diocese held fruitful spiritual conversations with the clergy and faithful in both places.

По благословению Преосвященнейшего Иринея, епископа Лондонского и Западно-Европейского, викарный епископ Вевейский Александр, по давней традиции Зарубежной Церкви возглавил Таинства соборования в двух приходах немецкоязычной части Швейцарской Конфедерации – в Базеле и Цюрихе.
В понедельник 13/26 марта Преосвященнейший епископ Александр прибыл в Свято-Николаевский приход города Базеля, где в сослужении священника Павла Голинского совершил Таниство Елеосвящения для тамошних верующих. В следующую субботу 20 марта/2 апреля в Свято-Покровском приходе Цюриха Его Преосвяществу сослужили настоятель прихода протоиерей Петр Штурм и священник Владимир Свистун. Принять участие в Таинстве прибыло множество верующих из города Цюрих и его окрестностей, значительную часть из которых составили беженцы из Украины, обильно расселяемые в окрестностях самого многочисленного города Швейцарии.
После богослужений в двух приходах викарий епархии имел плодотворное духовное общение с духовенством и верующими.
