18 NOVEMBER / 1 DECEMBER 2025: On Monday, the wonderworking Kursk-root icon was taken to the Annunciation podvorye in Abingdon by Archpriest Paul Elliott and Hieromonk Theodore. There, in the small chapel of the community, the icon was lovingly enshrined and a moleben and akathist sung before it on Monday evening. Mother Helen, superior of the skete, showed special warmth to all who came for the blessed visitation — clergy and faithful pilgrims — and joined her prayers to their before the image of the Theotokos.
On Tuesday morning, the Divine Liturgy will be celebrated in the podvorye in the presence of the icon.
