6 / 19 OCTOBER 2025: With the blessing of His Grace Bishop Irenei of London and Western Europe, clergy and faithful of the Diocese’s Geneva Cathedral are currently undertaking a pilgrimage to Cyprus and the Holy Land. On Sunday, by the invitation of His Holiness Patriarch Theophilus III of Jerusalem, Archpriest Emilian Pochinok of the Geneva Cathedral participated in the Divine Liturgy at which the newly elected Archimandrite Symeon was consecrated as the new Archbishop of Mt Sinai. The Diocese’s pilgrims were present at the Liturgy, praying for the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the new Hierarch, during the course of a Patriarchal Liturgy that lasted over four-and-a-half hours, celebrated by some 30 bishops and nearly as many priests.
Following the Divine Service, Archpriest Emilian greeted the newly-consecrated Archbishop Symeon on behalf of Bishop Irenei, and offered him the assurance of the prayers of all the faithful of the Diocese and indeed the entire Church Abroad for his new mission to the whole Church.
6 / 19 ОКТЯБРЯ 2025 г.: По благословению Преосвященнейшего епископа Лондонского и Западно-Европейского Иринея, духовенство и верующие кафедрального собора Женевы совершают паломничество на Кипр и в Святую Землю. В воскресенье, по приглашению Святейшего Патриарха Иерусалимского Феофила III, протоиерей Емильян Починок из Женевского кафедрального собора принял участие в Божественной литургии, во время которой новоизбранный архимандрит Симеон был рукоположен во архиепископа Синайского. Паломники епархии присутствовали на Литургии, вознося молитвы о ниспослании Святого Духа на нового архиерея во время патриаршего богослужения, продолжавшегося более четырёх с половиной часов и совершавшегося около тридцати архиереями и почти столькими же священниками.
По окончании богослужения протоиерей Емильян приветствовал новопоставленного архиепископа Симеона от имени епископа Иринея и передал ему уверение в молитвах всех верных чад епархии и Русской Зарубежной Церкви о его новом служении всей Церкви.
6 / 19 OCTOBRE 2025 : Avec la bénédiction de Son Excellence Mgr Irénée, évêque de Londres et d’Europe occidentale, le clergé et les fidèles de la cathédrale de Genève accomplissent actuellement un pèlerinage à Chypre et en Terre Sainte. Le dimanche, sur l’invitation de Sa Sainteté le patriarche Théophile III de Jérusalem, l’archiprêtre Émilien Pochinok de la cathédrale de Genève, a participé à la divine liturgie au cours de laquelle l’archimandrite Syméon, récemment élu, a été consacré nouvel archevêque du Mont-Sinaï. Les pèlerins du diocèse étaient présents à la liturgie, priant pour la descente du Saint-Esprit sur le nouvel hiérarque, lors d’une liturgie patriarcale qui dura plus de quatre heures et demie et fut célébrée par une trentaine d’évêques et presque autant de prêtres.
À l’issue de la célébration, l’archiprêtre Émilien a salué le nouvel archevêque Syméon au nom de Mgr Irénée et lui a transmis l’assurance des prières de tous les fidèles de l’Église Hors-Frontières pour sa nouvelle mission au service de l’Église universelle.
