On Sunday 15 / 28, the feast of the Entry of the Lord into Jerusalem, the Divine Services in the Geneva Cathedral were headed by two Hierarchs: Bishop Irenei of London and Western Europe, and his predecessor on the cathedra of Geneva, Archbishop Michael (now in retirement). A spirit of fraternal joy marked the Divine Liturgy, which was attended by some 500 believers, who thus entered into the Week of the Passion. Bishop Irenei invited Archbishop Michael to deliver a homily to the faithful, whose words inspired them, to be filled with childlike zeal on this Sunday of the Lord. At the end of the Liturgy the hierarchs exchanged warm fraternal words of congratulation with the Lord’s entry into the city of the ‘King of Kings’.
The Sunday services marked the conclusion of Bishop Irenei’s Archpastoral visit to the Cathedral, during which he served the rite of Holy Unction on Friday evening, as well as the services of Lazarus Saturday and the eve of Palm Sunday. Co-serving His Grace during the Divine Services of these days were the clergy of the Geneva Cathedral: Archpriest Pavel Tzvetkoff, Archpriest Emilian Pochinok, Archdeacon Dometian (Redko) and Deacon Antony Barros; together with clergy from nearby parishes of the Diocese: Priest Pavel Golynski, Priest Vladimir Svystun, Priest Aviv Saliou-Diallo and Protodeacon Michael Vernaz. Subdeacon Pavel Lisitsin travelled with the Bishop from London and assisted, together with the large collection of Subdeacons, Readers and altarniki of the Cathedral.
During his visit, the Archpastor also chaired meetings of the Parish Council and the Cathedral Foundation, and spent considerable time visiting with the faithful parishioners of the large cathedral community.

В воскреснье 15 / 28, праздник Входа Господня в Иерусалим, апреля богослужение в Женевском кафедральном соборе возглавили два архиерея: епископ Лондонский и Западно-Европейский Ириней, и его предшественник на Женевской кафедре, архиепископ Михаил (сейчас на покое). Духом братской радости была отмечена Божественная литургия, за которой молились около 500 верующих в начале Страстной седмицей. Епископ Ириней предложил архиепископу Михаилу произнести проповедь верующим, слова которой вдохновили их, исполниться детским усердием в это воскресенье Господне. По окончании Литургии иерархи обменялись теплыми братскими словами поздравления со входом Господа в град «Царя царей».
Воскресные богослужения завершили архипастырский визит епископа Иринея в собор, в ходе которого он совершил чин Елеосвящения в пятницу вечером, а также службы Лазаревой субботы и накануне Вербного воскресенья. На богослужении в эти дни Его Преосвященству сослужили клирики Женевского собора: протоиерей Павел Цветков, протоиерей Емилиан Починок, архидиакон Дометиан (Редко) и диакон Антоний Баррос; и духовенство близлежащих приходов епархии: священник Павел Голынский, священник Владимир Свистун, священник Авив Салиу-Диалло и протодиакон Михаил Верна. Иподиакон Павел Лисицин сопровождал архиерея из Лондона и прослужил в алтаре вместе с большим собранием иподиаконов, чтецов и алтарников собора.
Во время своего визита архипастырь также председательствовал на заседаниях Приходского совета и Фонда собора, а также уделил немало времени общению с верными прихожанами большой соборной общины.

Le dimanche 15 / 28 avril, fête de l’Entrée du Seigneur à Jérusalem, l’office à la cathédrale de Genève a été présidé par deux hiérarques : Mgr Irénée de Londres et d’Europe occidentale, et son prédécesseur au siège de Genève, l’archevêque Michael (aujourd’hui retraité). L’esprit de joie fraternelle a marqué la Divine Liturgie, qui a été priée par environ 500 croyants au début de la semaine Sainte. Mgr Irenei a invité Mgr Michel à prêcher une homélie aux fidèles, dont les paroles les ont inspirés, pour qu’ils soient remplis d’un zèle enfantin en ce dimanche du Seigneur. A la fin de la liturgie, les hiérarques ont échangé de chaleureuses paroles fraternelles de félicitations pour l’entrée du Seigneur dans la ville du « Roi des Rois ».
Les services divins du dimanche ont marqué la conclusion de la visite archipastorale de Mgr Irénée à la cathédrale, au cours de laquelle il a célébré le rite de la Grande Onction le vendredi soir, ainsi que les offices du samedi de Lazare et la veille du dimanche des Rameaux. Le clergé de la Cathédrale de Genève a co-servi Sone Excellence pendant les services divins de ces jours : l’archiprêtre Paul Tzvetkoff, l’archiprêtre Emilien Pochinok, l’archidiacre Dometien (Redko) et le diacre Antoine Barros ; et le clergé des paroisses voisines du diocèse : le prêtre Paul Golynski, le prêtre Vladimir Svystun, le prêtre Aviv Saliou-Diallo et le protodiacre Michel Vernaz. Le sous-diacre Paul Lisitsin a accompagné l’évêque de Londres et l’a aidé dans l’autel, ainsi que la grande collection de sous-diacres, lecteurs et serviteurs d’autels de la cathédrale.
Au cours de sa visite, l’archipasteur a également présidé les réunions du Conseil paroissial et de la Fondation de la cathédrale, et a passé beaucoup de temps à rendre visite aux fidèles paroissiens de la grande communauté de la cathédrale.
