SUNDAY, 8 / 21 SEPTEMBER 2025: On the Great Feast of the Nativity of the Mother of God, the Altar Feast of the Diocesan Cathedral in London, England, was celebrated by His Grace Bishop Irenei of London and Western Europe, co-served the clergy of the Cathedral, Archpriest Vitaly Serapinas, Archpriest Yaroslav Hudymenko, Archpriest Peter Baulk and Hieromonk Theodore, together with the Diocesan Chancellor Archpriest Paul Elliott and Deacons Andrei Borisas and Sergei Baranov.
The Divine Services of the Feast began on Saturday evening with the All-Night Vigil, sung by a the main Cathedral Choir together with the new Bishop's Kliros. On Sunday, Bishop Irenei was greeted at the porch of the Cathedral and the Divine Liturgy of the Feast undertaken in a solemn and joyful spirit. The gathering of believers included not only the faithful of the Cathedral parish itself, but visiting faithful from across London, Manchester, Wales, the east of England, and even further afield.
A festive Cross-procession was held in the radiant sunshine that broke through the rain which had prevailed during the previous day. At the conclusion of the services, Bishop Irenei greeted the assembled clergy and faithful with the joy of the Feast. The day concluded with a beautifully-prepared luncheon in the Cathedral Hall, organised by the Sisterhood, at which a bountiful meal was offered and many words exchanged amongst the faithful and clergy who remained to visit for several hours. The children of the Cathedral School presented a concert of music and poetry, to the delight of all the faithful.
ВОСКРЕСЕНЬЕ, 8 / 21 СЕНТЯБРЯ 2025 г.: В великий праздник Рождества Пресвятой Богородицы, престольный праздник Кафедрального собора епархии в Лондоне, Англия, Божественную литургию возглавил Преосвященный Ириней, епископ Лондонский и Западно-Европейский, в сослужении духовенства собора: протоиереев Виталия Серапинаса, Ярослава Гудыменко, Петра Боулка и иеромонаха Феодора, а также канцлера епархии протоиерея Павла Эллиотта и диаконов Андрея Борисаса и Сергия Баранова.
Богослужения праздника начались в субботний вечер Всенощным бдением, которое было исполнено главным кафедральным хором совместно с новосозданным Архиерейским клиросом. В воскресный день Владыка Ириней был встречен у притвора храма, и Божественная литургия праздника была совершена в торжественном и радостном духе. В собрании верующих участвовали не только прихожане самого кафедрального храма, но и паломники из разных частей Лондона, Манчестера, Уэльса, восточных областей Англии и даже из более отдалённых мест.
Праздничный крестный ход был совершен при сияющем солнце, пробившемся сквозь дожди, владевшие предшествующим днем. По окончании богослужений Владыка Ириней приветствовал собравшееся духовенство и верных радостью праздника. День завершился прекрасно приготовленной трапезой, устроенной сестричеством, на которой был предложен обильный обед и обменяно многими словами между верующими и духовенством, оставшимися для общения в течение нескольких часов. Дети кафедральной школы представили концерт из песнопений и стихотворений, к радости всех верных.
