The London Cathedral Youth Group visited the church of the All Merciful Saviour in St Leonards on Sea.

4 / 17 DECEMBER 2023: Over the weekend, members of the Youth Group of the London Cathedral travelled to St Leonards-on-Sea to visit with the brethren of the church of the All Merciful Saviour and its clergyman, Priest Aleksandr Groves, while also assisting with various undertakings relating to the parish's life. During the course of the visit, the youth assisted with the decoration of rizas for various icons, bricklaying for the ongoing construction of the parish’s trapeza hall, and other tasks.

The youth were accompanied by Hieromonk Theodore, Dean of Students at Jordanville Seminary, who is currently visiting the territory of the Diocese and who, together with Father Aleksandr, offered spiritual advice and counsel throughout the visit.

In keeping with the anticipation of the forthcoming Feast of the Nativity of Christ, local parishioners and Youth Group members gathered together after Vespers and dinner on Saturday, singing carols and festal songs. 

Having thus participated in many fruitful activities during the short span of their trip, and the youth left St Leonards-on-Sea having been enriched spiritually and encouraged by the love, joy, and warm welcome of Father Aleksandr and the entire parish.
