1 / 14 OCTOBER 2024: The Feast of the Protection (Pokrov) of the Mother of God was marked by hierarchical visitations at both of the Diocese’s parishes dedicated to the Feast: the Pokrov Parish in Arnhem, The Netherlands, and that in Zurich, Switzerland.

The Divine Services in Arnhem were headed by His Grace Bishop Irenei of London and Western Europe, co-served by the Parish Priest, the Reverend Aleksey Lisenkow and joined by the long-time friend of the Arnhem Parish, Archpriest Stefan Weerts, rector of the Resurrection Parish in Brussels. At the end of the Divine Liturgy a Cross Procession was held, and two long-time laity of the Parish were honoured with a Hierarchical Gramata for their many years of dedicated service to the Church: Mr Cornelius Phielix and Mrs Kira Innokentyevna Petrova.

The Divine Services in Zurich were headed by His Grace Bishop Alexander, co-served by the Parish Rector, Archpriest Peter Sturm, together with visiting clerics Archpriest Viktor Yatsenko and Priest Georgi Tytov from Sant-Gallen. Upon conclusion of the festal Liturgy and the word of his homily, Vladyka Alexander congratulated Father Peter with the 29th anniversary of his service in the Priesthood.

1 / 14 октября 2024 г.: Праздник Покрова Пресвятой Богородицы был отмечен архиерейскими совещаниями в обоих приходах епархии, посвященных этому празднику: в Покровском приходе в Арнеме (Нидерланды) и в Цюрихе (Швейцария).

Богослужения в Арнеме возглавил Его Преосвященство епископ Ириней Лондонский и Западно-Европейский в сослужении священника прихода, иерея Алексия Лисенкова, а также давнего друга Арнемского прихода, протоиерея Стефана Вертса, настоятеля Воскресенского прихода в Брюсселе. По окончании Божественной литургии был совершен крестный ход, и двое многолетних прихожан были удостоены архиерейской грамоты за их долгие годы преданного служения Церкви: Корнелиус Фиеликс и Кира Иннокентьевна Петрова.

Богослужения в Цюрихе возглавил Его Преосвященство епископ Александр в сослужении настоятеля прихода, протоиерея Петра Штурма, а также приглашенных клириков — протоиерея Виктора Яценко и отца Георгия Титова из Санкт-Галлена. По завершении праздничной Литургии и пастырского слова проповеди владыка Александр поздравил отца Петра с 29-летием его священнического служения.
