In response to an announcement personally circulated in a public manner on the internet by Archpriest Andrew Phillips, containing a host of false information and announcing a personal schism from the Church, we clarify for the sake of the faithful that no parish of the Diocese of Great Britain and Western Europe, nor any of its clergymen, have been released to the Archdiocese of Parishes of Russian Tradition in Western Europe or its UK Deanery, and as there is no possibility of any Orthodox entity receiving a clergyman or parish without appropriate release arranged through the canonical Bishops, the claim that Archpriest Andrew, or any parish or clergy of our Diocese, have been canonically received by the Archdiocese is also false (and the Archdiocese in Paris has confirmed that announcement of any such claims is false).
We are deeply saddened by the continued actions of Archpriest Andrew; nevertheless, for the sake of the preservation of the unity and order of the Church, we have had no choice, in light of this latest development, to temporarily suspend Archpriest Andrew Phillips from his priestly rank until these matters can be examined, according to the Canons and practices of the Russian Orthodox Church, by the appropriate spiritual authority. We remind the faithful that any priestly actions performed by a suspended cleric are done apart from the grace of the priesthood and not unto the salvation of any who might receive them; therefore the faithful of the parish should turn in this time to other clergy of the Diocese for all necessary pastoral and sacramental ministrations.
In the meantime, we implore the faithful of the Colchester Parish to persevere in patience and quietude, knowing that we will always ensure they are spiritually cared for and that obstacles to the peaceful life of their parish shall be overcome. If there are any concerns amongst the faithful about these matters, they are invited to contact the Diocesan Bishop directly to speak about them in person.

В ответ на заявление, лично распространенное в Интернете протоиереем Андреем Филлипсом, содержащее множество ложных сведений и объявляющее о его личном расколе от Св. Церкви, мы разъясняем верующим, что ни один приход Великобританской и Западно-Европейской епархии, а также ни один из ее священнослужителей не были переданы Архиепископии приходов русской традиции в Западной Европе или ее британскому благочинию, и поскольку не существует возможности для какой-либо православной структуры принять священника или приход без соответствующего освобождения (канонической грамоты), преподанных через их правящих законных епископов, утверждение, что протоиерей Андрей или любой приход или духовенство нашей епархии были канонически приняты в состав Архиепископии, является ложным (и Архиепископии в Париже подтвердил, что объявление о любых таких претензиях является ложным).
Мы глубоко опечалены продолжающимися действиями протоиерея Андрея; тем не менее, в свете этого последнего события и ради сохранения единства и порядка в Церкви, у нас не оставалось иного выбора, кроме решения временно отстранить протоиерея Андрея Филлипса от священнослужения до тех пор, пока эти вопросы не будут рассмотрены, согласно Канонов и обычаев Русской Православной Церкви соответствующим духовным Священноначалием. Мы напоминаем верующим, что любые священнодействия, выполняемые запрещенным в служении клириком, совершаются без благодати священства, и не содействуют спасению верующих, кто бы мог их принять; поэтому верующие прихода должны в это время обратиться к другому духовенству епархии за всем необходимым пастырским попечением и преподанием Святых Таинств.
А пока мы призываем прихожан Колчестерского прихода проявлять терпение и спокойствие, зная, что мы всегда будем заботиться о них духовно, и что препятствия на пути к мирной жизни их прихода будут преодолены. Если у верующих есть какие-либо опасения по поводу этих вопросов, им предлагается напрямую связаться с Управляющим епархией, чтобы обговорить их лично.
