THURSDAY 30 AUGUST / 12 SEPTEMBER 2024: The Diocesan Cathedral of the Nativity of the Mother of God and the Holy Royal Martyrs in London, England, has been adorned with newly-painted frescos beautifying the front facade of the choir loft. The space — one of the few remaining in the cathedral that had yet to be frescoed — now contains icons of six saints of the British Isles: among them, St Swiphun of Winchester, St Botolph, and St Ethelwold of Winchester, who served with St Dunstan and translated the holy relics of St Swiphun and St Botolph, and who in his turn was revered in Kyiv in the eleventh century.
The images of these local Orthodox saints join those of many other saints of the British Isles already in place on the walls of the Cathedral, together with saints of many other regions and eras of Orthodox history.

ЧЕТВЕРГ, 30 АВГУСТА / 12 СЕНТЯБРЯ 2024 г.: Кафедральный собор в честь Рождества Пресвятой Богородицы и святых Царственных мучеников в Лондоне, Англия, был расписан новыми фресками, украшающими передний фасад хора. Пространство — одно из немногих оставшихся в соборе, ещё не украшенное фресками — теперь содержит иконы шести святых Британских островов: среди них св. Свитуна Винчестерского, св. Ботольфа и св. Этельвольда Винчестерского, который служил со святым Дунстаном, перенес святые мощи св. Свитуна и св. Ботольфа и, в свою очередь, особо почитался в Киеве в XI веке.
Образы этих местных православных святых присоединяются к множеству других подвижников Британских островов, уже изображенных на стенах собора, вместе с ликами святых из пределов Святой Руси и многих иных частей христианского мира.
