16/29 ОКТЯБРЯ 2023 г.: В Неделю 21-ю по Святой Пятидесятнице, в день памяти св. Лонгина сотника, Преосвященный епископ Лондонский и Западно-европейский Ириней совершил архипастырский визит в Воскресенский приход в Брюсселе, Бельгия.
В субботу днем владыку Иринея приняли настоятель прихода протоиерей Стефан Вертс и староста прихода Зоран Петковский на обед в доме последнего, во время которого обсуждалась жизнь прихода. Затем епископ проследовал в храм, где было совершено всенощное бдение. В воскресенье утром Его Преосвященство был встречен хлебом-солью и возглавил литургию в сослужении отца Стефана.
В слове своей проповеди владыка Ириней говорил о значении Апостольского чтения дня, в котором святой апостол Павел говорит о назначении Закона как ведущем нас ко Христу. «Эту конечную цель Апостол описывает самыми прекрасными словами», — сказал архиерей. «”Уже не я живу, но живет во мне Христос.” Действительно, братья и сестры, возможно настолько приблизиться к Богу, что наша жизнь соединится с Его, и Его жизнь станет видимой в нашей». Таким образом, Владыка призвал всех верующих стремиться к цели нашей христианской жизни: приобщению к жизни Самого Бога.
По окончании богослужения протоиерей Стефан произнес приветственное слово и выразил благодарность за визит Правящего архиерея. Затем состоялась трапеза, на которой были произнесены поздравительные слова, после чего епископ Ириней остался отвечать на вопросы верующих Воскресенского прихода о духовной жизни.

16 / 29 OCTOBRE 2023 : Le 21e dimanche après la Sainte Pentecôte, jour de la mémoire de Saint Longin le Centurion, Son Excellence l’évêque Irénée de Londres et d’Europe occidentale a effectué une visite archipastorale à la paroisse de la Résurrection à Bruxelles, en Belgique.
Samedi après-midi, Vladyka Irénée a été reçue par le recteur de la paroisse, l’archiprêtre Stefan Weerts, et le starosta de la paroisse, Zoran Petkovski, pour un déjeuner chez ce dernier, au cours duquel il a été question de la vie de la paroisse. L’évêque s’est ensuite rendu à l’église où les vigiles ont été célébrées. Le dimanche matin, Mgr Irénée a été accueillie avec du pain et du sel et a présidé la liturgie, co-servie par le père Stefan.
Dans son homélie, Vladyka Irénée a parlé de la signification de la lecture de l’Apôtre du jour, dans laquelle saint Paul parle du but de la Loi de nous conduire au Christ. « Ce but ultime, l’Apôtre le décrit avec les plus belles paroles », a déclaré l’Evêque. « “Ce n’est plus moi qui vis, mais le Christ vit en moi.” En effet, frères et sœurs, il est possible de devenir si proches de Dieu que nos vies soient unies à la Sienne et que Sa vie devienne visible dans la nôtre. » Vladyka a ainsi appelé tous les fidèles à tendre vers le but de notre vie chrétienne : la communion dans la vie de Dieu lui-même.
Après les services divins, l’archiprêtre Stefan a prononcé un mot de bienvenue et a exprimé sa gratitude pour la visite du Hiérarque. Ensuite, un repas a eu lieu au cours duquel des paroles de félicitations ont été offertes, après quoi Mgr Irénée est resté pour répondre aux questions sur la vie spirituelle des fidèles de la Paroisse de la Résurrection.

16 / 29 OCTOBER 2023: On the 21st Sunday after Holy Pentecost, the day of the memory of St Longinus the Centurion, His Grace Bishop Irenei of London and Western Europe made an Archpastoral Visit to the Resurrection Parish in Brussels, Belgium.
On Saturday afternoon, Vladyka Irenei was received by the Parish Rector, Archpriest Stefan Weerts, and the Starosta of the Parish, Zoran Petkovski, for a lunch at the latter’s home, during which the life of the parish was discussed. The Bishop then proceeded to the church where the Vigil was served. On Sunday morning, His Grace was greeted with bread and salt and presided over the Liturgy, co-served by Fr Stefan.
In the word of his homily, Vladyka Irenei spoke about the significance of the Apostle reading of the day, in which St Paul speaks of the purpose of the Law as leading us to Christ. ‘This ultimate goal, the Apostle describes in the most beautiful words,’ said the Bishop. ‘”It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me.” Indeed, brothers and sisters, it is possible to grow so close to God that our lives are united to His, and His life becomes visible in our own.’ Vladyka thus called upon all the faithful thus to strive after the goal of our Christian life: communion in the life of God Himself.
Following the Divine Services, Archpriest Stefan said a word of welcome and expressed the gratitude for the Hierarch’s visit. A meal was then held at which congratulatory words were offered, after which Bishop Irenei remained to answer questions about the spiritual life from the faithful of the Resurrection Parish.
