30 OCTOBRE / 12 NOVEMBRE 2023 : Le samedi précédant le 23ème dimanche après la Pentecôte, s’est déroulée l’Assemblée annuelle de la Cathédrale de l’Exaltation de la Croix à Genève, en Suisse, sous la présidence du Recteur de la Cathédrale et Évêque dirigeant du diocèse, Son Excellence Irénée de Londres et d’Europe occidentale.
Après avoir ouvert la réunion en chantant « Ô Roi Céleste », Vladyka Irénée a fait un discours résumant l’année écoulée de la vie de la Cathédrale, y compris ses expressions de remerciement pour les nombreuses activités de la communauté et l’augmentation évidente du nombre de fidèles et fonctions de la paroisse. L’augmentation du nombre d’enfants et de jeunes a particulièrement retenu l’attention de l’Évêque, qui a offert ses remerciements et ses encouragements au clergé, aux conseillers paroissiaux et à tous ceux qui se sont tant engagés au cours de la dernière année pour prendre soin de la communauté.
Des rapports ont ensuite été entendus des prêtres de la cathédrale, l’archiprêtre Paul Tsvetkoff et l’archiprêtre Emilien Pochinok, qui ont tous deux raconté diverses dimensions de la croissance de la paroisse au cours de l’année écoulée — en se concentrant sur l’augmentation du nombre de serviteurs à l’Autel, le catéchisme hebdomadaire des enfants, le plein programme de pèlerinages paroissiaux, chorale élargie et groupes musicaux d’enfants, ministère hospitalier, œuvres auprès des réfugiés et des personnes dans le besoin, fraternité active, etc. Des rapports ont également été entendus du marguiller de la cathédrale, M. Alexandre Romash ; et la situation financière stable de la paroisse a été abordée dans le rapport détaillé du trésorier et du comité de vérification.
À la fin de la réunion, et après avoir remercié pour les activités de l’année écoulée et les espoirs pour l’année à venir, des élections ont eu lieu pour le poste de Marguiller, Trésorier et membres réguliers du Conseil Paroissial. L’Evêque a ensuite remercié les participants pour leur travail pour le bien de la Cathédrale et pour l’esprit d’amour et de paix qui règne dans la paroisse, et tous se sont levés pour rendre grâce à Dieu par une prière de clôture.
Dans la soirée, les vigiles ont été servies avec de beaux chants. Dimanche matin, après l’accueil de l’Évêque sur les marches de la Cathédrale, la Divine Liturgie a été célébrée dans une église plein. Le clergé de la cathédrale, ainsi que l’archiprêtre Alexandre Anchoutine, en visite du diocèse d’Amérique de l’Est, étaient au service de Son Excellence.

30 ОКТЯБРЯ / 12 НОЯБРЯ 2023 г.: В субботу, предшествующую 23-й неделе по Пятидесятнице, состоялось годовое общие собрание Крестовоздвиженского кафедрального собора в Женеве, Швейцария, под председательством настоятеля собора и Правящего архиерея, Преосвященнейшего епископа Лондонского и Западно-Европейского Иринея.
Открыв собрание пением «Царю Небесный», владыка Ириней подвел итоги прошедшего года жизни собора, в том числе выразил благодарность за многочисленные дела общины и очевидный рост числа верующих и функции прихода. Увеличение числа детей и молодежи привлекло особое внимание архиерея, который выразил свою благодарность и поддержку духовенству, членам приходского совета и всем тем, кто в течение прошлого года посвятил себя заботе об общине.
Затем были заслушаны доклады духовенства собора: протоиерея Павла Цветкова и протоиерея Емилиана Починока, которые рассказали о различных аспектах роста прихода за последний год, уделив особое внимание увеличению числа служителей в Алтаре, еженедельному детскому катехизису, полному программа приходских паломничеств, расширенный хор и детские музыкальные коллективы, больничное служение, работа среди беженцев и нуждающихся, активное сестричество и др. Доклады также были заслушаны от старосты Александра Ромаша; а об устойчивом финансовом положении прихода говорилось в подробном отчете казначея и ревизионной комиссии.
По завершении собрания, поблагодарив за деятельность прошедшего года и надеясь на год грядущий, были проведены выборы на должность старосты, казначея и членов Приходского совета. Затем владыка поблагодарил участников за труды на благо собора и дух любви и миролюбия, царящий в приходе, и все встали, чтобы возблагодарить Бога с заключительной молитвой.
Вечером было совершено Всенощное бдение с прекрасным пением. В воскресенье утром, после встречи архиерея на ступенях собора, при полном храме была совершена Божественная литургия. Его Преосвященству сослужили духовенство собора, а также протоиерей Александр Анчутин, прибывший из Восточно-Американской епархии.

30 OCTOBER / 12 NOVEMBER 2023: On Saturday preceding the 23rd Sunday after Pentecost, the Annual Meeting of the Cathedral of the Exaltation of the Cross in Geneva, Switzerland, took place under the presidency of the Cathedral Rector and Ruling Bishop of the Diocese, His Grace Bishop Irenei of London and Western Europe.
Having opened the meeting with the singing of ‘O Heavenly King’, Vladyka Irenei offered remarks in summary of the past year of the Cathedral’s life, including his expressions of thanksgiving for the many activities of the community and evident growth in both the number of faithful and the functions of the parish. The increase in the number of children and youth was of special note to the Bishop, who offered his thanks and encouragement to the clergy, parish councillors, and all those who have been so committed over the past year to the care of the community.
Reports were then heard from the Cathedral priests, Archpriest Pavel Tsvetkoff and Archpriest Emilian Pochinok, both of whom recounted various dimensions of the growth of the parish over the past year — focussing on its increased number of servers in the Altar, weekly children’s catechism, full programme of parish pilgrimages, the expanded choir and children’s musical groups, hospital ministry, works amongst refugees and those in need, active sisterhood, and others. Reports were also heard from the Cathedral Starosta, Mr Alexander Romash; and the stable financial situation of the parish was addressed in the detailed report of the Treasurer and auditing committee.
At the conclusion of the meeting, and having given thanks for the activities of the past year and hopes for the year to come, elections were held for the post of Starosta, Treasurer and regular members of the Parish Council. The Bishop then thanked the participants for their labours for the good of the Cathedral and the spirit of love and peacefulness that reigns in the parish, and all rose to give thanks to God with a closing prayer.
In the evening, the All-Night Vigil was served with beautiful singing. On Sunday morning, following the greeting of the Bishop on the steps of the Cathedral, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated in a full temple. Co-serving His Grace were the cathedral clergy, together with Archpriest Alexander Anchoutine, visiting from the Diocese of Eastern America.
