6 / 19 JANUARY 2025: In Lyon, France, the Parish of St John the Confessor marked the occasion of the Great Feast of Theophany with Divine Services attended by enormous numbers of faithful, the majority of whom partook of Holy Communion in honour of the Lord’s baptism. The Liturgy was served by the Parish Rector, Archpriest Quentin de Castelbajac, together with Deacon Murman-Gabriel Gigauri.
At the conclusion of the Divine Liturgy of the Feast, a group of some thirty parishioners travelled together to the picturesque Lake Miribel-Jonage, at a distance of about half an hour from Lyon, where the Great Blessing of Waters was served for the first time. Despite the frigid weather, several parishioners dove into the newly-blessed waters; and at the conclusion of the rite, the assembled pilgrims enjoyed an improvised lunch in the beautiful scenery.
Filled with fervour and inspiration by the events of the day, the clergy and pilgrims determined to make the excursion of Lake Miribel-Jonage an annual part of the parish’s Theophany traditions.

6 / 19 ЯНВАРЯ 2025 г.: В Лионе, Франция, приход св. Иоанна Исповедника торжественно отметил Великий праздник Богоявления. Божественные Богослужения, которые возглавил настоятель прихода протоиерей Квентин де Кастельбажак в сослужении диакона Мурмана-Гавриила Гигаури, собрали огромное количество верующих, большинство из которых причастились Святых Христовых Таин в честь Крещения Господня.
По завершении Божественной литургии, группа из тридцати прихожан отправилась к живописному озеру Мирибель-Жонаж, расположенному примерно в получасе езды от Лиона, где впервые было совершено Великое освящение воды. Несмотря на морозную погоду, несколько прихожан погрузились в освященные воды. После чина освящения паломники насладились импровизированным обедом на фоне прекрасной природы.
Вдохновленные торжествами дня, духовенство и прихожане решили сделать поездку к озеру Мирибель-Жонаж ежегодной традицией празднования Богоявления в приходе.

6 / 19 JANVIER 2025 : À Lyon, en France, la paroisse de Saint Jean le Confesseur a célébré la Grande Fête de la Théophanie avec des offices divins rassemblant un grand nombre de fidèles, dont la majorité ont communié en l’honneur du baptême du Seigneur. La Liturgie a été célébrée par le recteur de la paroisse, l’Archiprêtre Quentin de Castelbajac, assisté du Diacre Murman-Gabriel Gigauri.
À la fin de la Divine Liturgie de la Fête, un groupe d’environ trente paroissiens s’est rendu ensemble au pittoresque lac Miribel-Jonage, situé à environ une demi-heure de Lyon, où la Grande Bénédiction des Eaux a été célébrée pour la première fois. Malgré le froid, plusieurs paroissiens ont plongé dans les eaux nouvellement bénites ; et à la fin du rite, les pèlerins assemblés ont partagé un déjeuner improvisé dans ce cadre magnifique.
Remplis de ferveur et d’inspiration par les événements de la journée, le clergé et les pèlerins ont décidé de faire de l’excursion au lac Miribel-Jonage une tradition annuelle de la paroisse pour la Théophanie.
