Христос воскресе! Воистину воскресе! Во время непрекращающейся радости Светлой седмицы, когда пасхальные литургии продолжают совершаться по всей епархии, мы делимся подборкой фотографий с богослужений Страстной седмицы и Пасхи, которые совершались в кафедральном соборе Рождества Пресвятой Богородицы и Святых Царственных Мучеников в Лондоне.

Будучи единственной православной церковью в Лондоне, которая в этот период продолжающихся ограничений, связанных с коронавирусом, совершила полный устав всех богослужений Страстной Седмицы с открытыми дверями для каждого верующего, кафедральный собор радостно принимал на богослужениях не только огромное количество членов прихода, но также и очень большое количество верующих из других приходов и юрисдикций во всей столице и стране, состоящих из самых разных национальностей. Для их размещения использовались многочисленные алтари Собора, распределялось духовенство, и было проведено множество различных служб, чтобы вместить наибольшее количество верующих, в то время как их присутствие в храме одновременно оставалось в пределах, требуемых законом и действующими санитарными правилами. Кроме того, в помещении храма и снаружи были установлены видеоэкраны и громкоговорители, чтобы и эти пространства можно было использовать дополнительно для прихожан. Таким образом, сотни верующих смогли присутствовать на богослужении ежедневно, а более тысячи – молились на пасхальном богослужении.

Christ is risen! Truly, He is risen! During the ongoing joy of Bright Week, as Paschal Liturgies continue to be celebrated throughout the Diocese, we share a selection of photographs from the Divine Services of Passion Week and Pascha as they were celebrated in the Diocesan Cathedral of the Nativity of the Mother of God and the Holy Royal Martyrs in London.

As the only Orthodox Church in London that, in this period of continuing coronavirus-related restrictions, kept the complete ustav of all the Divine Services of Holy Week with doors opened to the faithful for each, the Cathedral welcomed not only its large parish population to these sacred services, but also a very large number of faithful from other parishes and dioceses across the capital and the country, from a wide array of nationalities. In order to accommodate them, advantage was taken of the Cathedral’s multiple Altars and clergy and multiple celebrations of various services were held, in order to accommodate a larger number of faithful whilst keeping the number in the temple at any one time within the limits required by current regulations. In addition, video screens and sound systems were installed in the church hall and the exterior so that those spaces could be used for additional worshippers. In this manner, hundreds of faithful were able to be present for Divine Services each day, with more than a thousand attending the services of Pascha.
