During the Fourth Week of Great Lent, two pilgrimages took place from parishes of the Diocese. With the blessing of Priest Justin Venn, Priest of the Parish of St John the Wonderworker in Belfast, Northern Ireland, a group of pilgrims headed by Subdeacon Seraphim Cameron (the Starosta of the Parish) undertook a pilgrimage to Slemish, to the mount of St Patrick of Ireland. Gathering at noon, the group began its ascent by praying St Patrick’s ‘Breastplate’ prayer (Lorica) with a selection of readings from the Divine Services for the Saint, which were composed and blessed by the ROCOR in the 1970s. At the summit, the faithful pilgrims sang the Akathist hymn to Saint Patrick.
During the same week, Archpriest Emilian and a small group of dedicated faithful from the Cathedral of the Exaltation of the Cross in Geneva, Switzerland, undertook a pilgrimage to Mount Athos, where for several days they visited the sacred monasteries of the Holy Mountain and prayed fervently for the intercessions of the Mother of God.
На четвертой седмице Великого поста состоялись два паломничества из приходов епархии. По благословению иерея Иустина Венна, священника прихода св. Иоанна чудотворца в Белфасте, Северная Ирландия, группа паломников во главе с иподиаконом Серафимом Кэмероном (старостой прихода) совершила паломничество на Слемиш — гору св. Патрика Ирландского. Собравшись в полдень, паломники начали восхождение с молитвы «Броня святого Патрика» (Лорика), а также с чтения отрывков из богослужебных текстов святому, составленных и утвержденных Зарубежной Церковью в 1970-х годах. На вершине паломники пропели акафист св. Патрику.
В ту же неделю протоиерей Емилиан и небольшая группа благочестивых верующих из кафедрального собора Воздвижения Креста в Женеве, Швейцария, совершили паломничество на Святую Гору Афон, где на протяжении нескольких дней посещали священные монастыри Святой Горы и с усердием молились о заступничестве Пресвятой Богородицы.
