The Youth Group of the Cathedral had a wonderful time visiting Oxford on last Sunday, 5th November! The day started with the Divine Liturgy at St Nicholas Church which served by Father Stephen Platt before having some tea, coffee and biscuits and speaking with the parishioners. There was also a book sale on at the time with many interesting titles to buy. The Youth then visited Christ Church Cathedral, located in Christ Church College of Oxford University, to pray before and venerate the shrine of St Frideswide of Oxford. Father gave an brief talk about her life which was very soul-profiting. It’s also interesting that the College is the set for many popular films. After this, everyone had Lunch together and explored more of the City with the Orthodox Student Society of the University. The Youth Group would like to thank Father Stephen, the student society and all other parishioners for their hospitality!
