Завершивъ вышеизложенное полностью, насколько это было въ моихъ силахъ, и не упустивъ при этомъ ни одной детали, которая могла бы имѣть отношеніе къ моему продвиженію въ клиръ епархіи Великобританіи и Западной Европы, я также прямо утверждаю слѣдующее:

• Что касается какихъ-либо медицинскихъ состояній, ​которые​ я указалъ, будь то физическихъ или умственныхъ, ни одинъ изъ моихъ недуговъ не является препятствіемъ для надлежащаго осуществленія священнаго служенія, и у меня нѣтъ какой-либо заразной или неизлѣчимой болѣзни.
• Увѣренный въ своей канонической Православной Вѣрѣ, я не имѣю сейчасъ и не буду имѣть никакихъ отношеній ни съ какими раскольническими или еретическими группами; я не приму никакого ученія, противорѣчащаго церковному и евангельскому, не буду жить и поступать вопреки святымъ канонамъ.
• Что касается ​любаго​ рукоположенія или чина, къ которому я могу быть призванъ Высшей Церковной Властью (включая принятіе и признаніе любыхъ чиновъ, ​которые​ я уже имѣю, поскольку ​они​ признаны Епархіей), я приму ихъ исключительно во славу Божію и спасеніе душъ, въ каждомъ случаѣ по собственной волѣ, съ искреннимъ намѣреніемъ служить Святой Церкви и безъ мотива личной выгоды или какой-либо мірской выгоды.
• По отношенію къ всякому церковному назначенію въ любомъ санѣ принимаю на себя обязательство совершать ​всѣ​ богослуженія и молитвы благочестиво, по правиламъ Церкви и точно по указанію Правящаго архіерея, довольствуясь всякимъ назначеннымъ мнѣ окладомъ (признавая что большинство церковныхъ должностей въ епархіи осуществляется безъ жалованья) и ​добровольные​ дары моихъ прихожанъ, ни при какихъ обстоятельствахъ не вымогая и не требуя платы за ​особыя​ услуги. Какъ обладатель всякаго духовнаго чина, я обѣщаю всегда совершать богослуженія въ ​воскресные​ и ​праздничные​ дни, и не только Божественную литургію, но и другіе богослуженія, ​предусмотрѣнные​ Уставомъ, за исключеніемъ тѣхъ, ​которые​ прямо благословлены моимъ настоятелемъ или Правящимъ архіереемъ.
• Понимая духовное бремя, сопровождающее рукоположеніе въ ​любой​ чинъ духовенства, буду регулярно исповѣдовать свои грѣхи въ Таинствѣ Исповѣди духовнику, являющемуся клирикомъ Епархіи Великобританіи и Западной Европы (содержащимъ въ качествѣ духовника клирика изъ другой епархіи только съ явнаго благословенія Правящаго архіерея), и сообщитъ Правящему архіерею имя моего духовника и періодичность моей исповѣди.
• Признавая, что ​клирское​ служеніе въ любомъ чинѣ ​есть​ послушаніе Богу и его Церкви, я буду служить во всякомъ назначенномъ санѣ регулярно, нерѣдко по личной прихоти, но присутствуя и служа на всѣхъ богослуженіяхъ, ожидаемыхъ отъ моего чина, отсутствуя только по благословенію приходскаго настоятеля или Правящаго архіерея. Кромѣ того, поскольку рукоположеніе въ любомъ санѣ включаетъ въ себя привязанность къ опредѣленному приходу, я не буду отсутствовать въ этомъ приходѣ, кромѣ какъ по причинамъ, благословленнымъ моимъ настоятелемъ прихода или Правящимъ архіереемъ, и не буду служить ни въ какомъ другомъ приходѣ безъ явнаго благословенія моего Правящаго архіерея.
• Обязуюсь носить одѣяніе, подобающее священнослужителямъ всѣхъ чиновъ, въ ​которые​ я буду призванъ и надлежащимъ образомъ рукоположенъ (чтецамъ и ​иподіаконамъ​ во ​все время въ храмѣ и на церковныхъ службахъ быть въ ​подрязникахъ​; діаконамъ и священникамъ быть въ рясахъ на ​все​ время въ храмѣ и на церковныхъ богослуженіяхъ и въ рясѣ на всѣхъ другихъ публичныхъ мѣропріятіяхъ, кромѣ тѣхъ, гдѣ это запрещаетъ свѣтская дѣятельность), и въ другихъ обычныхъ манерахъ сохранять традиціонный внѣшній видъ священнослужителя (напримѣръ, не стричься и не сбрить бороду). [*Кандидатъ на рукоположеніе можетъ получить благословеніе отъ Правящаго архіерея на то, чтобы носить болѣе короткіе волосы и бороду и носить свѣтскую одежду, если это будетъ сочтено необходимымъ. • Посты и праздники Православной Церкви буду соблюдать съ благочестіемъ, не буду курить, не буду предаваться пьянству и азартнымъ играмъ и вообще буду ​вести​ себя, какъ подобаетъ священнослужителю, стараясь не скомпрометировать своего высокаго положенія и не соблазнить вѣрующихъ по неподобающему поведенію.
• Я устрою свою домашнюю жизнь и воспитаю своихъ дѣтей, какъ подобаетъ служителю Алтаря, въ Православной Христіанской Вѣрѣ и въ страхѣ Божіемъ.
• Я всегда буду совершать Богослуженія, ​связанные​ со Святыми Тайнами, съ необходимой подготовкой, съ благочестіемъ и страхомъ Божіимъ. Въ алтарѣ и вообще въ храмѣ я буду ​вести​ себя въ соотвѣтствіи со святостью мѣста, наставляя и другихъ уважать эту святость.
• Я обязуюсь ​вести​ себя въ общественномъ пространствѣ и въ онъ-​лайнъ​ средѣ (въ томъ числѣ въ соціальныхъ сѣтяхъ, на ​вебъ​-сайтахъ, въ публикаціяхъ) образомъ, подобающимъ клирику Православной Церкви, всегда ставя въ извѣстность Высшую церковную власть епархіи о своемъ участіи въ подобной дѣятельности; признаю, что данная власть вправѣ направлять или ограничивать мои дѣйствія, особенно въ онъ-​лайнъ​ средѣ, либо повелѣть мнѣ вовсе прекратить такую дѣятельность, и обязуюсь слѣдовать этимъ указаніямъ во благо Церкви; также соглашаюсь соблюдать ​любой​ Кодексъ поведенія духовенства въ сѣти Интернетъ, который можетъ быть разработанъ епархіей въ будущемъ.
• Что касается любыхъ церковныхъ службъ, къ которымъ я могу быть призванъ, я никогда не забуду, что священнослужитель ничего не можетъ дѣлать безъ санкціи своего архіерея. Обѣщаю быть послушнымъ церковнымъ властямъ и дѣйствовать согласно канонамъ Святыхъ Апостоловъ, Вселенскихъ и Помѣстныхъ Соборовъ и ученію Святыхъ Отцовъ въ толкованіи и примѣненіи ко мнѣ Священнымъ ​Сѵнодомъ​ Русской Православной Церкви Заграницей и моимъ Правящимъ архіереемъ.
• Въ постоянное напоминаніе о высокомъ призваніи каждаго церковнаго чина, отъ чтеца до іерея, и чтобы возжечь во мнѣ даръ благодати священнаго сана, обѣщаю заполнить время, когда я не совершаю священнаго служенія, чтеніемъ Священное Писаніе, писанія святыхъ Отцовъ и изученіе церковныхъ обычаевъ и традицій. [*Принимая во вниманіе явную необходимость проводить много времени, содѣйствуя семейной жизни. Также понятно, что потребность въ мірской работѣ, какъ благословилъ архіерей, отниметъ необходимое количество времени и энергіи ​любого​ кандидата.]

Наконецъ, въ цѣляхъ обезпеченія надлежащаго дѣлопроизводства и каноническаго надзора, я обязуюсь въ теченіе трехъ недѣль со дня подписанія настоящаго заявленія представить въ Канцелярію Епархіи ​слѣдующіе​ документы: (1) письма-характеристики: (a) отъ моего духовника, (b) отъ моего работодателя (если примѣнимо), и (c) отъ ​инаго​ лица, хорошо меня знающаго; (2) письмо съ изложеніемъ причинъ моего стремленія войти подъ омофоръ Великобританской и Западно-Европейской епархіи Русской Православной Церкви Заграницей; (3) документацію, подтверждающую мои ​священные​ степени (напримѣръ, свидѣтельства о рукоположеніи); (4) документы духовныхъ учебныхъ заведеній — семинаріи и академіи (если примѣнимо).

(Я осознаю, что каноническій отпускной грамотой отъ моего нынѣшняго архіерея является обязательнымъ предварительнымъ условіемъ для принятія въ данную епархію; однако полученіе таковой будетъ осуществляться посредствомъ переписки между архіереями, и я понимаю, что не долженъ предпринимать попытокъ получить ​ее​ самостоятельно безъ особаго указанія.)

Statements by All Candidates.

Having completed the above in full to the best of my ability, and having therein omitted no detail that may be of relevance to my advancement into the clerical ranks of the Diocese of Great Britain and Western Europe, I also explicitly affirm the following:

• Concerning any medical conditions I have indicated, whether physical or mental, none of my infirmities are of suchlike as to be an impediment to the proper exercise of sacred ministry, nor do I have any contagious disease or incurable illness.
• Secure in my canonical Orthodox Faith, I have now and will have in future no relationship with any schismatic or heretical groups; neither will I embrace or accept any teaching contrary to that of the Church and the Gospel, nor will I live or act in violation of the Holy Canons.
• With respect to any ordination or rank to which I may be called by the Higher Church Authority (including reception and recognition of any ranks I already hold, as they are recognised by the Diocese), I shall accept these solely for the glory of God and the salvation of souls, in each case of my own free will with the sincere intention of serving the Holy Church, and without motivation of personal profit or worldly gain of any kind.
• With respect to any clerical appointment at any rank, I accept the obligation to perform all Divine Services and prayers piously, according to the rules of the Church and explicitly according to the instruction of my Ruling Bishop, contenting myself with any salary assigned me (recognising that the majority of clerical offices in the Diocese are undertaken without salary) and the free-will gifts of my parishioners, under no circumstances extorting or demanding payment for special services. As the holder of any clerical office, I promise always to perform the Divine Services on Sundays and holy days, and not only the Divine Liturgy, but also the other services prescribed by the Ustav, with the only exceptions being those explicitly blessed by my Rector or Ruling Bishop.
• Understanding the spiritual burden accompanying ordination at any rank of the clergy, I will confess my sins regularly in the Sacrament of Confession to a spiritual father who is a clergyman of the Diocese of Great Britain and Western Europe (maintaining as a spiritual father a cleric from another Diocese only with the explicit blessing of the Ruling Bishop), and shall make known to the Ruling Bishop the name of my spiritual father and the frequency of my confession.
• Recognising that clerical service in any rank is an obedience to God and His Church, I will so serve in any appointed rank regularly, not infrequently as per personal whim but being present and serving at all services expected of my office, absent only with the blessing of the Parish Rector or Ruling Bishop. Further, as ordination in any rank includes attachment to a specific parish, I will not be absent from that parish except for reasons blessed by my Parish Rector or Ruling Bishop, and will serve in no other parish without the explicit blessing of my Ruling Bishop.
• I promise to wear the dress proper to clergy of any rank into which I may be called and duly ordained (Readers and Subdeacons to be in cassocks at all times in the temple and at Church functions; Deacons and Priests to be in cassocks and ryassas at all times in the temple and at Church functions, and in cassock at all other public occasions except those where secular employment prohibits it), and in other customary manners to maintain the traditional personal appearance of a clergyman (e.g. not to cut my hair nor to shave my beard). [*The Candidate for ordination may seek a blessing from the Ruling Bishop to keep shorter hair and beard and wear secular clothing if this is deemed necessary. Readers and Subdeacons do not maintain long hair and beards.]
• I will observe the fasts and feasts of the Orthodox Church in piety, I will not smoke, will not indulge in drunkenness or gambling, and in general will comport myself as befits a clergyman, taking care not to compromise my high station or scandalise the faithful by unbecoming behaviour.
• I will direct my domestic life and rear my children as befits a servant of the Altar, in the Orthodox Christian Faith and in fear of God.
• I will always celebrate the Divine Services connected with the Holy Mysteries with the necessary preparation, with piety and the fear of God. In the holy Sanctuary and in the temple in general I will conduct myself in accordance with the holiness of the place, instructing others as well to be respectful of this holiness.
• I will conduct myself in public and in on-line contexts (e.g. Social Media, web sites, publications) in a manner befitting a cleric of the Orthodox Church, always making my involvement in such contexts known to the Higher Church Authority of the Diocese, whom I understand may direct or limit my interactions especially in on-line contexts, or who may instruct me to cease from such activity altogether, and whose instruction I will heed and abide for the good of the Church; and I agree to abide by any Internet Code of Conduct for Clergy that the Diocese may develop in future.
• With respect to any clerical services to which I may be called, I will never forget that a clergyman may do nothing without the sanction of his Bishop. I promise to be obedient to the ecclesiastical authorities and to act in accordance with the canons of the Holy Apostles, the Ecumenical and Local Councils, and the teachings of the Holy Fathers as interpreted and applied to me by the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia and my Ruling Bishop.
• As a constant reminder of the high calling of each clerical rank, from Reader to Priest, and to kindle within me the gift of the grace of Holy Orders, I promise to fill the time when I am not performing my sacred service with the reading of the Holy Scriptures, the writings of the Holy Fathers, and the study of the Church’s practices and traditions. [*Bearing in mind the explicit need to spend plentiful time fostering one’s family life. It is also understand that the need for secular employment, as blessed by the Bishop, will occupy a necessary amount of any candidate’s time and energy.]

Finally, in recognition of the need for proper record-keeping and oversight, I will provide to the Chancellery of the Diocese within three weeks of the signing of this statement, the following documentation: (1) letters of character reference from (a) my spiritual father / confessor, (b) my employer (if relevant), and (c) another person well acquainted with me; and (2) a letter stating my reason for seeking to enter under the omophorion of the Diocese of Great Britain and Western Europe of the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia, (3) documentation of my Holy Orders (e.g. certifications of ordination), and (4) seminary and academy records (if applicable).

(I understand that a letter of canonical release from my current Hierarch will be a pre-requisite to being received into this Diocese; however, this will be obtained by correspondence between the Hierarchs and I understand that I should not seek to obtain this myself without specific instruction.)

• En sécurité dans ma foi orthodoxe canonique, je n'ai et n'aurai à l'avenir aucune relation avec des groupes schismatiques ou hérétiques ; je n'embrasserai ni n'accepterai aucun enseignement contraire à celui de l'Église et de l'Évangile, ni ne vivrai ni n'agirai en violation des Saints Canons.
• En ce qui concerne toute ordination ou tout rang auquel je pourrais être appelé par l'Autorité ecclésiastique supérieure (y compris la réception et la reconnaissance de tout rang que je détiens déjà, tel qu'il est reconnu par le diocèse), je les accepterai uniquement pour la gloire de Dieu et le salut des âmes, dans chaque cas de mon propre gré avec l'intention sincère de servir la Sainte Église, et sans motivation de profit personnel ou de gain mondain de quelque nature que ce soit.

• Comprenant la charge spirituelle qui accompagne l'ordination à tout grade du clergé, je confesserai régulièrement mes péchés dans le sacrement de la confession à un père spirituel qui est ecclésiastique du diocèse de Grande-Bretagne et d'Europe occidentale (en maintenant comme père spirituel un ecclésiastique d'un autre diocèse uniquement avec la bénédiction explicite de l'évêque dirigeant), et je ferai connaître à l'évêque dirigeant le nom de mon père spirituel et la fréquence de ma confession.
• Reconnaissant que le service clérical, quel que soit son rang, est une obéissance à Dieu et à son Église, je servirai ainsi régulièrement, et non pas rarement selon mes caprices personnels, mais en étant présent et en servant à tous les services attendus de ma charge, en m'absentant uniquement avec la bénédiction du recteur de la paroisse ou de l'évêque dirigeant. En outre, comme l'ordination à un grade quelconque implique le rattachement à une paroisse spécifique, je ne serai pas absent de cette paroisse, sauf pour des motifs bénis par mon recteur de paroisse ou mon évêque dirigeant, et je ne servirai dans aucune autre paroisse sans la bénédiction explicite de mon évêque dirigeant.

• J'observerai les jeûnes et les fêtes de l'Église orthodoxe avec piété, je ne fumerai pas, ne me livrerai pas à l'ivresse ni au jeu et, en général, je me comporterai comme il convient à un ecclésiastique, en prenant soin de ne pas compromettre ma haute fonction ni de scandaliser les fidèles par un comportement indigne.
• Je dirigerai ma vie domestique et j'élèverai mes enfants comme il convient à un serviteur de l'autel, dans la foi chrétienne orthodoxe et dans la crainte de Dieu.
• Je célébrerai toujours les services divins liés aux Saints Mystères avec la préparation nécessaire, avec piété et crainte de Dieu. Dans le saint Sanctuaire et dans le temple en général, je me conduirai conformément à la sainteté du lieu, en instruisant également les autres d'être respectueux de cette sainteté.
• Je m’engage à me comporter dans l’espace public et dans les contextes en ligne (tels que les réseaux sociaux, sites internet, publications) d’une manière conforme à la dignité d’un clerc de l’Église orthodoxe, en faisant toujours connaître à l’Autorité ecclésiastique supérieure de l’Éparchie ma participation à de tels contextes ; je reconnais que cette autorité peut diriger ou limiter mes interactions, en particulier en ligne, ou m’ordonner de cesser entièrement une telle activité, et je m’engage à suivre et à respecter ses instructions pour le bien de l’Église ; j’accepte également de me conformer à tout Code de conduite pour le clergé sur Internet que l’Éparchie pourrait élaborer à l’avenir.
• En ce qui concerne les services cléricaux auxquels je pourrais être appelé, je n'oublierai jamais qu'un ecclésiastique ne peut rien faire sans la permission de son évêque. Je promets d'être obéissant aux autorités ecclésiastiques et d'agir conformément aux canons des Saints Apôtres, aux Conciles œcuméniques et locaux, et aux enseignements des Saints Pères tels qu'ils sont interprétés et appliqués à mon égard par le Saint Synode de l'Église orthodoxe russe hors frontières et par mon Évêque dirigeant.
• Pour me rappeler constamment la haute vocation de chaque grade clérical, du Lecteur au Prêtre, et pour allumer en moi le don de la grâce des Saints Ordres, je promets de remplir le temps où je n'accomplis pas mon service sacré par la lecture des Saintes Écritures, des écrits des Saints Pères et l'étude des pratiques et traditions de l'Église.

Enfin, reconnaissant la nécessité d’une tenue rigoureuse des dossiers et d’une supervision appropriée, je m’engage à fournir à la Chancellerie du diocèse, dans un délai de trois semaines à compter de la signature de la présente déclaration, la documentation suivante : (1) des lettres de recommandation concernant mon caractère, émanant (a) de mon père spirituel / confesseur, (b) de mon employeur (le cas échéant), et (c) d’une autre personne me connaissant bien ; (2) une lettre exposant les raisons pour lesquelles je sollicite mon entrée sous l’omophore du diocèse de Grande-Bretagne et d’Europe occidentale de l’Église orthodoxe russe hors frontières ; (3) les documents attestant de mes saints ordres (par exemple, certificats d’ordination) ; et (4) les relevés et attestations de mes études au séminaire et à l’académie (le cas échéant).

(Je comprends qu’une lettre de congé canonique de mon hiérarque actuel sera une condition préalable à mon accueil dans ce diocèse ; toutefois, celle-ci sera obtenue par correspondance entre les hiérarques, et je comprends que je ne dois pas chercher à l’obtenir moi-même sans instruction spécifique.)
