19 NOVEMBER / 2 DECEMBER 2023: Members of the Sisterhood of the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Mother of God and the Holy Royal Martyrs in London, today made a pilgrimage to the shrine of St Birinus — the saint of the 7th century known as the 'Apostle to the West Saxons' who converted the ancient Kingdom of Wessex (in modern-day England) to Orthodox Christianity. Braving the cold of a December day, the sisters travelled to the site of his ancient church and venerated the saint's precious relics, under the spiritual care of Archpriest Yaroslav Hudymenko.
