In concert with all dioceses of the Church Abroad, the Diocese of Great Britain and Western Europe has its basic structures of administration and operation outlined in a Canonical Constitution, blessed by the Holy Synod of Bishops and ratified by the Diocesan Assembly. The essential purpose of this document is to clarify the application of higher governing documents (e.g. the Scriptures and Holy Canons, synodally-approved documents on Church governance) to the local situation of the Diocese.
