SUNDAY 8 / 21 JANUARY 2024: On the Sunday after Theophany, a charity concert was held in the Hall of the Cathedral of the Nativity of the Mother of God and Holy Royal Martyrs in London, England.

Following the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy, the concert entitled 'Songs by Sergei Rachmaninov' was performed to a full parish hall by Maria Danishvar, Soprano, and Irina Davydova, pianist. The concert celebrated the works of famous Russian composer Sergey Vasylievich Rachmaninov, including both his operatic, folkloric and instrumental repertoire.

Both performers are members of parishes of the Diocese in the British Isles: Maria Danishvar, an Afghan-Ukranian born soprano, is a regular choir member of the Cardiff Parish, while Irina Davydova, a laureate of international piano competitions, is a member of the London Cathedral.

The concert was free to attend, but included a retiring collection to raise funds for the Bethany School and the suffering Christians of the Holy Land.

ВОСКРЕСЕНЬЕ 8 / 21 ЯНВАРЯ 2024 г.: В воскресенье после Богоявления в зале собора Рождества Богородицы и святых Царственных мучеников в Лондоне, Англия, состоялся благотворительный концерт.

После Архиерейской Божественной литургии при полном приходском зале состоялся концерт «Песни Сергея Рахманинова» в исполнении Марии Данишвар (сопрано) и Ирины Давыдовой (пианистка). На концерте прозвучали произведения известного российского композитора Сергея Васильевича Рахманинова, включая его оперный, фольклорный и инструментальный репертуар.

Оба исполнителя являются членами приходов епархии на Британских островах: Мария Данишвар, сопрано афгано-украинского происхождения, является постоянной участницей хора Кардиффского прихода, а Ирина Давыдова, лауреат международных конкурсов пианистов, является прихожанкой Лондонского кафедрального собора.

Концерт был бесплатным, но включал в себя сбор средств для школы в Вифании и страдающих христиан Святой Земли.
