22 AUGUST / 4 SEPTEMBER 2024: A new iconostasis was installed in the temple of the Parish of the Mother of God, ‘Joy of All Who Sorrow’ in Mettingham, England. The carved oak construction is adorned with newly-painted icons of the Saviour and the Theotokos (after the style of her Kazan Icon), and features a central wooden Cross based on the Anglo-Saxon ‘Ixworth Cross’ found in the nearby town of Bury St Edmunds — thus connecting the design of the iconostasis to the ancient Orthodox heritage of the local region.

Резной дубовый иконостас украшен вновь написанными иконами Спасителя и Богородицы (в стиле иконы Казанской Божией Матери) и имеет центральный деревянный Крест, основанный на англосаксонском «Ixworth Cross», найденном в соседнем городе Бери-Сент-Эдмундс.
