SATURDAY, 6 / 19 OCTOBER 2024: A conference on the Orthodox understanding of the Human creature in the patristic tradition was held at the University of Oxford, organised by the Oxford Orthodox Student Society. The opening lecture was delivered by His Grace Bishop Irenei of London and Western Europe, with the title ‘You are not a human person: A re-assessment of theological anthropology’.
The conference, which included speakers from the UK, Bulgaria and the United States, included student and scholar attendees from Oxford University, as well as Orthodox faithful from the Church Abroad, Serbian, Antiochian, Greek and Romanian Orthodox dioceses in the British Isles. During the conference, an exposition of several ancient patristic and ecclesiastical manuscripts, kept in the Christ Church College library, were brought out for the viewing of participants.

СУББОТА 6 / 19 ОКТЯБРЯ 2024 г.: В Оксфордском университете состоялась конференция, посвященная православному пониманию человеческого существа в святоотеческой традиции, организованная Православным студенческим обществом. Открытый доклад представил Преосвященный епископ Лондонский и Западно-Европейский Иреней на тему: «Ты не ‘человеческая личность’: переоценка богословской антропологии».
Конференция, в которой приняли участие докладчики из Великобритании, Болгарии и США, собрала студентов и ученых Оксфордского университета, а также православных верующих из Зарубежной Церкви, Сербской, Антиохийской, Греческой и Румынской православных епархий на Британских островах. В ходе конференции для участников была организована выставка нескольких древних святоотеческих и церковных рукописей, хранящихся в библиотеке колледжа Крайст-Черч.
