DIMANCHE 31 JUILLET / 13 AOÛT 2023: A la veille de la fête de la Procession de la Croix, la Paroisse Saint-Jean le Russe à Lyon, France, a célébré pour la première fois les offices divins dans sa nouvelle église. La paroisse, très active, a depuis longtemps dépassé la petite devanture-reconvertie qui lui servait de temple depuis quelques années et recherche activement depuis quelques années de nouveaux locaux. Par la miséricorde de Dieu, un nouveau bâtiment a été localisé et la paroisse a célébré pour la première fois la Divine Liturgie dans sa nouvelle église.
La décoration intérieure de la nouvelle église n’est pour le moment que provisoire, avec une simple iconostase et une petite sélection d’icônes mises en place afin de répondre aux besoins immédiats de la paroisse. Au fil du temps, la rénovation délibérée de l’intérieur, pour le transformer en un lieu de culte orthodoxe familier avec une iconostase complète, des sanctuaires, iconographie, etc., sera mise en œuvre.
Mais même avec seulement les débuts actuels et simples en place, les fidèles de Lyon se réjouissent que Dieu ait entendu leurs prières et leur ait fourni une très grande église dans laquelle élever des prières vers Lui et vers Ses saints, et grandir ensemble dans le vie de la Sainte Orthodoxie.

ВОСКРЕСЕНЬЕ 31 ИЮЛЯ / 13 АВГУСТА 2023 г.: В преддверии праздника Изнесения Честных Древ Креста Господня приход святителя Иоанна Русского в Лионе, Франция, впервые совершил богослужение в новом храме. Этот чрезвычайно активный приход, давно перерос маленький гараж, который в течение недавнего времени он использовал в качестве своего храмового помещения, и в последние несколько лет активно искал новое помещение. По милости Божией было обретено новое здание, и приход впервые совершил Божественную литургию в своем новом доме.
Внутреннее убранство храма на данный момент носит временный характер, с простым иконостасом и небольшим набором икон, установленных для удовлетворения неотложных литургических потребностей. Со временем будет осуществлено целенаправленное обновление интерьера, чтобы превратить его в привычный православный молитвенный дом с полным иконостасом, святынями, канонической росписью и т.д.
Но, даже имея только нынешние простые начинания, верующие Лиона искренне радуются тому, что Бог услышал их молитвы и дал им очень вместительный храм, в котором можно возносить молитвы к Нему и Его святым и вместе возрастать в лоне Святого Православия.

SUNDAY 31 JULY / 13 AUGUST 2023: On the eve of the Feast of the Procession of the Cross, the Parish of St John the Russian in Lyon, France, celebrated the Divine Services for the first time in its new church building. The parish, which is extremely active, had long since outgrown the small shopfront-conversion that it had been using as its temple for several years, and for the past few has actively been seeking new premises. By God’s mercy, a new building was located, and the parish for the first time celebrated the Divine Liturgy in its new home.
The interior decoration of the new church is for the moment only temporary, with a simple iconostasis and a small selection of icons put in place in order to accommodate the parish’s immediate needs. Over time, the deliberate renovation of the interior, to transform it into a familiar Orthodox house of worship with full iconostasis, shrines, iconography, etc., will be implemented.
But even with only the present, simple beginnings in place, the faithful of Lyon rejoice that God has heard their prayers and provided them with a very large temple in which to lift up prayers to Him and to His saints, and to grow together in the life of Holy Orthodoxy.
